Reading for Pleasure is a key part of our curriculum and our culture at Renishaw. Reading for pleasure and for understanding is critical to a child’s learning. Reading helps to unlock the curriculum for children’s learning at primary school, secondary school and for life.
We promote reading all year but do go the extra mile for World Book Day. This year is our first Book Day Potato Sculpture event. Children are invited to “dress” a potato in the style of their favourite book character. As this is our first time the photos below are posted to help give inspiration of what could be done.
Please bring your sculptures on for our first ever potato gallery on Friday morning.
